Absolutely nothing! As a healthcare professional, you can use Eppow totally free of charge – and we don’t deduct anything from your salary. The healthcare provider pays us a fixed fee for every hour you work. This fee is completely separated from your remuneration. You will also see this in the agreement that is signed directly by you and the employer - Eppow is not a middleman and the negotiated remuneration goes entirely to you.
Our shared goal is continuity and high quality in healthcare. So it should be easy for an assignment to transform into a permanent position. If you and the healthcare provider are so happy together that you want to convert the assignment into permanent employment, we want to make that possible in the best, most straightforward way. The healthcare provider pays a one-off fee to us for this. You never pay anything.

We charge the healthcare provider a fixed hourly fee for the hours the healthcare personnel work. Our goal is continuity in the healthcare sector and if our service leads to permanent employment, no one’s happier than us! If an assignment turns into permanent employment Eppow receives a one-off fee from the healthcare provider.
We believe that everyone wins when more healthcare jobs can be matched and staffing shortages are being solved.
All healthcare personnel registered in the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare’s HOSP register can sign up. If your healthcare profession isn’t included in the register, you can always contact us here and we’ll get in touch when we’ve expanded the platform to include your profession.
When you register on Eppow you can choose the type of remuneration you prefer for an assignment. You will see two different remuneration models.
Invoice through own company
If you’ve selected this option you see the amount you can invoice per hour, excluding VAT.
Salary
If you’ve selected this option you will receive your salary directly from the healthcare provider. The amount presented is your gross salary, meaning that an additional holiday pay of 12% will be added, and in some cases also occupational pension. This is clearly stated in the assignment description and your contract with the healthcare provider.
Some healthcare providers offer overnight accommodation when it requires longer travel but Eppow does not have any information about this. You can always ask the healthcare provider about this.
Eppow is anything but a staffing agency. We have a digital platform with the explicit goal of liberating the healthcare system from staffing agencies. As a healthcare professional on Eppow, you always sign the contract directly with the healthcare provider, regardless of whether you invoice through your own company or receive a salary. Without intrusive middlemen and hidden fees there’s more money for both you and the healthcare system - that’s what we call a win-win!

Your qualifications are the most important thing in the selection process. That’s why we don’t show your name or photo for two reasons:
Firstly, you should be able to freely and anonymously use the service until you have decided to apply for a specific assignment.
Secondly, factors such as gender, age or ethnicity should not affect your possibilities to get offered assignments.
It can be good to know that if your name is displayed in your resume your employer can find you. So it’s up to you whether you want your name to be visible or not.
We want to make sure our service is both secure and straightforward to use. By using BankID for logging in, we can verify your identity, skip password for yet another site and reduce unnecessary hassle.
When you perform well, you should be rewarded! With good reviews from previous assignments, you’ll find it much easier to find new and more popular jobs in the future. Clinic managers are often just as nervous about bringing in a new person as you are about joining a new unit. Reviews help them when they make their choice of new healthcare personnel. In the same way, you can write reviews about them, to help your industry colleagues.
There may be several reasons for this. On Eppow, it’s always the clinic manager who sets the remuneration you see initially, but you’re completely free to continue negotiating.
Our role in setting the remuneration is that we objectively show the healthcare provider the market position in that geographical region, for that period, and for the same type of assignments. By doing this we hope to help the healthcare provider set a reasonable level from which to begin negotiations. However, the clinic manager is always free to ignore the data we present and set another remuneration level.
Have you found an interesting assignment with a remuneration level you aren’t willing to work for? If so, we recommend you demonstrate your interest in the assignment, and state the level of remuneration you require. We firmly believe in direct dialogue, and if more healthcare providers get in contact with healthcare personnel we can create better conditions and more opportunities for everyone in the sector!
Wave goodbye to hidden fees! As a healthcare provider, you pay a fixed rate per hour when healthcare personnel registered through Eppow work at your unit. The cost is separated from the healthcare professional’s remuneration. When you use our service you will see your total cost reported in detail and fully transparent.
Our remuneration model also means there’s no financial incentive for us to push a particular healthcare professional for a particular job. Since the healthcare professional doesn’t pay Eppow a cent, all recommendations are based on “best match”. In other words, the choice isn’t affected by the profit we make on the healthcare personnel– unlike many staffing agencies.

Of course! To be able to sign up with Eppow as a healthcare professional, individuals must have a valid license from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare (HOSP-registry). When you sign a contract with a healthcare professional, such as a clinician or a nurse, we request an extract from the Swedish Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO). We also check exam certificates for specialist nurses. For increased security, all users log in to Eppow using their BankID. And perhaps the best quality control takes the form of the reviews other healthcare providers have written about the healthcare professional.
No, none at all. You can employ someone for an hour or a year – unlike staffing agencies, we have no lock-in mechanisms. If you’d like to recruit a healthcare professional for a permanent role, nobody will be happier than us!
No, we don’t believe classic references are the best way to verify an individual’s expertise and quality. No candidate wants to give a poor reference, so they only use referees who will give a positive image of them. Instead, we have a built in review system where every clinic manager who has worked with the healthcare professional in question must submit a review after the assignment is completed. This gives us honest, up-to-date assessments, all in one place. Smart, don’t you think?
It’s entirely up to you and the healthcare professional to agree on this. The remuneration will be calculated differently depending on whether the person should invoice you (and therefore pay their own employer contributions, annual leave remuneration, and pension contributions) or will receive a salary from you, in which case you pay these charges. But ultimately the cost is the same for you, the employer. The assignment can also transform into a permanent role.
For increased security, all users log in to Eppow using their BankID. Both healthcare providers and healthcare professionals. This is simply to make the platform both secure and straightforward to use. By making all users log in with BankID, their identity is verified. And users don’t have to remember their login details for yet another website.
Everyone wants a good, pleasant workplace. The reviews help healthcare personnel to make the right choices.
And we think access to good healthcare personnel shouldn’t be a function of geographical position, where healthcare units in sparsely populated or socio-economically deprived areas find it more difficult to recruit. If you look after your personnel, you’ll get good reviews and find it easier to recruit.
